This year our lodge collected monies and gift cards, which were presented to our wounded veteran on the 6th of December, 2017. Fred Roach, Army Sergeant, returned home from Afghanistan after serving one year with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is now pursuing a career in nursing and has found a nursing job currently working evenings at the VA medical center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Fred Roach has a wife Jennifer, two girls, Summer & Audri and two boys, Caleb and Fred II.
After returning home he now is serving in the Florida National Guard and his wife Jennifer, who recently has had major surgery, is a stay-at-home Mom who takes care of a toddler and three older children.
This family of six is trying desperately to get on their feet and start a new life. With our support and help from the Wounded Veteran’s Relief Organization we have given another Veteran and his family help at Christmas. During the Christmas season it is heartwarming to see the joy on their faces, which gives all of us the pleasure of giving, especially to a needy veteran and his family during this joyous holiday.
We thank all our Lodge members who gave generously this year in support of Fred Roach and his family. Mr. Roach and his family are now doing better and we wish them a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year.
Florida Power and Light “elves” perform a holiday makeover for Fred Roach and his family!
